KITCHENER – The U12 C Exeter Avalanche team played recently in the 20th annual Kitchener Wildcats Golden Ring Tournament and came home with the gold medal.
Coach Rob Taylor said all the girls played with great enthusiasm and team spirit in all four games.

“Their skating, passing and great goaltending was the difference,” he said. “Congratulations, girls, on a great weekend.

Coach’s comments: Great defence by the whole team when we needed it. The girls were a little tired but showed great team spirit when they needed it. Good shot selection by Amanda. Great goaltending again by Tamara.

You all played with the great skating, passing, shooting, checking, defence and goaltending. All of these qualities make up awesome teams. You all deserve that gold around your necks.
